It is the start of a brand new year everybunny! Whoohoo, i got my lovely brood does Peachtint and Chocolate Spot back into my rabbitry. As my friend decided to stop raising rabbits. Chocolate Spot will be going to a new home and Peachtint will be staying here for a bit longer. I want to let you know that I may or may not completely shift my focus onto lionheads! Dwarfs had been a tricky breed for me. As cute and demanded (customers) they had trouble getting litters. But I still really love all of the rabbits, I love Nethies! And I relized that I have only been breeding my small does which would have not brought the best outcomes. So I've decided to sell some of my best small rabbits into pet homes or other rabbitries where they might have more luckI will now be correcting my mistake and use more brood bunnies :) Speaking of broodies Honey Dew kindled 3 black otter the other day. They are doing so wonderfully! I will update soon. :)Helloooo my fellow bunny friends! Long time no see, I want to give you the great news of all my new 2 litters have left to wonderful homes except 1 which I am still working on now! Starbuck, Waffle, Delilah, have left our rabbitry! Because we always have to let go :) BUT I want to introduce 6 new RABBITS! One buck (not too sure about him), he is a no namer and is a rare broken squirrel colored bunny. Also Karma an opal doe, Zephyer a smoke pearl marten (or shagouti), Honeydew a blue otter, and Laguna an older black otter doe. Also we got a very very beautiful Sable Point doe to replace Delilah all the way from Northern California! I am totally upping my Sable Point game they are all so beautiful. I have made a New Years Resolution (which WILL HAPPEN unlike any other) of 30 babies in this rabbitry. 30 is actually a small number, but I've seriously only had less than 15 babies in my rabbitry every single breeding year I had. So let's make it happen! I have 6 does bred so hoping for a couple of few spring time litters. I'm very excited! I am still in the search of better does who can actually kindle nice large litters and hoping to work with vms in the future I'm still looking! Thank youI'm so happy for all my two litters to be successfully weaned now. Three lionhead blue torts from Delilah and Marlee, along with two dwarfs from Blueberry and Gollum. Ive been having very bad luck this year so I'm glad everyone is a survivor! My first Jersey Kit I have been waiting for was unfortunately a max factor :( but we can always try again. Onto the lionhead litter, I am blessed with 3 gorgeous does, Marlee when I took a closer look at him has a very nice topline and upright structure while Delilah wasn't I was expecting some mini Delilah's to pop up but the two were a great breeding with very compact mini Marlees! I have two pet quality dwarfs now one otter buck and a broken black doe :)Right now I am very busy with a lot of things, and came to the decision to downsize my rabbitry. My ultimate goal for the end of this year is to have 10 not 20! I sold my little orange doe Bambi, and Hitbuggy, and will be selling Delilah my only lionhead doe, Gollum my chocolate otter, and blueberry. It is very unfortunate, but I can't keep them all :( Hopefully we get many new great rabbits down the road.My lovely breeder friend could not keep two really cute lionhead bucks so I took them in. Biscuit is a sable point and looks like a twin to Marlee. To clear up the confusion this is not Houstan, the Sable point that I got before. Biscuit is much better looking! I will be keeping Biscuit for sure and rehoming BlackJack. So we have gotten so many new Netherland Dwarf arrivals. Which is great. Our rabbitry welcomes four new bucks! 👏👏 Armour a blue otter, Starbuck a black otter, Gollum a chocolate otter, and last but not least Golden Dream a chesnut dwarf. Our two bunnies Luigi and Eclipse have left to a great new place because we decided to let go.
So I have gotten many new bunnies over the summer break. Sold off many bunnies that have done so well here in our rabbitry to better homes, We got approximately 10 new rabbits! I have also decided to up my Jersey Wooly game with a pair of new jersies, which you can think of a dwarf angora if you are confused. One is a gorgeous Blue-Eyed-White, while the other is a Vienna Carrier. I added my previous fuzzy dwarf to that separate program and I am glad she found a spot in the rabbitry where she fits in. She used to be the only really poofy one out of the whole rabbitry. I have continued this post in part two as it was getting to long. With all the money I saved up I finally got a new camera! Canon camera, you could probably tell the quality difference between my new camera and my phone. Enjoy the better pictures
